''Great to see you all again!. It was a really rocking night. As we headed back to the hotel it was time for a can or two of the old amber nector. We arrived at Southend around lunch time for an afternoon set up and soundcheck giving us all the afternoon to see the sights including the famous Pier which Craig, John and Paul ventured down, by train I might add, '' It is a hell of a long way, trust me'' We hit the stage around 9.40pm and we have to say that the sound provided by Steve was first class, Steve filmed the show and the quality was quite amazing, hopefully we will be able to broadcast something from this very soon. Again brill turn out considering it was our first time there, and the comments received were amazing after the show, some people had travelled from Wolverhampton to see us in London and then here tonight which is totally awesome, ''Thanks for your support guy's'' As we hit the road we can all say it had been an amazing weekend.
Thanks to Steve, Amanda & Paul for making our time in the South one to remember!!
Check out our new site visitor counter on the home page and the Countries who have visited the site since we launched it on the 19th April 2010, just click on the counter to see more info. Thanks to melodicrock.com listing our recent tour dates this week, its been a very busy month so far.
Many thanks to all who came out to support the band last weekend and the kind comments received on facebook and our myspace site. Moses Gate, Bolton was totally packed out and Rawmarsh yet gain felt a bit special. Our lighting man Fez must get a mention for providing us with a light show to die for, especially the new LED's for the backdrops, the effect was fantastic!!
So much has been happening in the AFJ camp recently, the band are set to play some dates in Europe this October, details on countries and venues will be announced shortly.
Tickets for 'Giants of Rock ' on Fri 2nd July at Doncaster Civic Theatre continue to sell very well, as do tickets for Rawmarsh on Sat 27th March.
Next Years dates are starting to come thick and fast and will see the band playing many new venues throughtout the country, including many theatres and much larger shows.
Rhodes Rock bookings are up on last years numbers and remember if you book through AFJ you will be invited to the bands social evening one day during the week on the ireland, there are currently 50 guests attending, Paul from the band will be over in Rhodes in April with Eddie to make final arrangements with a suitable bar/club to get us all in and hopefully blag a free drink or two from the owners for us all, whilst you can chat to the band and mix with all the other Foreigner & Journey fans from around the world. the date and time for the gathering should be finalised by May and details will be emailed directly to all of you who have already booked with us.
A Foreigners Journey played their first show in Newcastle tonight at Trillians, thanks to all the staff and crowd that made us feel so welcome and what a turn out, the place was packed out! judging from the comments after the show we dont think it will be long before we shall be playing there again.
Mick Burgess from Metal Express Radio came along to review the show, which we will post on the site as soon as we receive it.
ll in AFJ want to thank everyone for an amazing night at The Wulfrun Hall last night, it was great to see all our new friends from RR09 again! Thanks to all the bands on the bill for making us feel so welcome and for their kind comments about the bands performance and their seal of approval for Jimi, Julian needs a big pat on the back for doing a sterling job of managing the event. It was great to see Eddie & Elaine at the front for AFJ :) There must have been around 800 die hard rockers in on the night who all gave AFJ their support in true Rhodes Rock style, this June is going to be something special we think!!
