What an awesome debut from A Foreigners Journey tonight. That was the sort of polished performance you see from bands who've been doing the same set for the last 10 years, let alone a band on their first night. If that is a sign of things to come then the tribute circuit is in for a treat! Normally you leave a band's debut gig thinking 'yeah in a few gigs time these could be really good', not with AFJ though - they're already there and can only get even more awesome. And what an atmosphere and turnout too. Didnt know it was a standing only gig until we got there but it really made it feel like a proper gig as though we were at the Carling Academy or something rather than a WMC. Things seemed like they were taken to a different level. The lighting was particularly immense and really enhanced the band. The sound was also brilliant where i was stood. Everyone has opinions on sound and can comment on 'this or that not being loud enough' or too loud or whatever but i'd struggle to find a single flaw in that sound tonight. Great stuff!

I'd just like to say what a great time we had at the gig at Birdwell last night - it was excellent! Very professional and can't wait to see them again! The club was packed and set out really well.

Hi guys, I was there last night (shame I was working, would have been so much better to fully appreciate the show from the other side of the bar). Always loved Foreigner; you should have been the headliners last night. Matt, can you sing or what!!!! Will have to get to see you again. The whole band were amazing. One of the best tributes I ever saw. Saw Larry Oakes with Simon Kirke a few weeks ago, and you certainly shone just as they did.You guys are truly awesome musically. It was a fantastic night and what a great bunch you are, all your lady friends are too. Come back to the Diamond soon!!
